A modernized version of Nokia’s iconic classic, the Nokia 3310 3G is a stylish yet simple bar phone that works with today’s 3G networks. It needs a SIM card, so it will work with GSM networks like AT&T and T-Mobile.
The original version was a huge success when it was first released in the year 2000. Those of you who called this phone their own will undoubtedly remember the classic game of “Snake”. I still remember playing it after a night out in town, at some lonely bus stop or other after 4am…
The Nokia 3310 3G was first released in 2017. It includes a 2MP camera, which is more or less standard for a mid-price dumb phone. The camera’s flash can also be used as a torch.
Its battery life is great: At 27 days standby and 6:30h talk time, the 3310 will virtually last forever compared to today’s smart phones. The battery is replaceable.
The form factor of this phone is similar to the original version. It comes with an alphanumeric keypad, 3 large navigation keys, and a 2.4″ touch screen.
You can surf the internet with the Opera browser, which is pre-installed on this phone. Web browsing isn’t lightning-fast, but that’s to be expected on a 3G network.
You can also use the phone as an FM radio, and an MP3 player is included as well as a voice recorder. And of course, the Nokia 3310 3G comes with an updated version of Snake!
You’ll want to get the 3G version of this phone. (2G and 4G versions also exist, but 2G networks are no longer functional in the U.S., and the 4G version is available in China only). The 3G version comes in the following flavors:
Dual band connectivity is sufficient for use in the United States. If you’re planning to use this phone abroad, you’re better off getting the quad-band version.
